ALL entries must be registered with a dance studio and represented by a studio owner or director. Official online entries must be completed in their entirety.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE RULES BELOW COULD RESULT IN POINT DEDUCTIONS AND/OR DISQUALIFICATION. Any rule infraction/violation post event that is discovered after the competition has concluded may be subject to forfeiting any future incentives or discounts.Changes to Star Showcase performances will result in disqualification. Once a group is announced as a qualified performance in the Star Showcase, NO changes can be made to the combination of performers, level, age division, performance type, props or music.At National Finals, any changes to a performance that alters the original level, high point age division and/or performance type listed in the printed program will be deemed as adjudication only.A performer’s performance level may NOT be adjusted after the competition schedule is SET FINAL.We are inclusive of all dancers and are proud to offer this new category for the coveted and prestigious Title Competition. KAR now offers a NON GENDER SPECIFIC category for Title.Title entries can now be submitted online through the Parent Center.All 2022 National Title winners are ineligible to compete for the exact same Title division at another 2022 KAR Finals. Only sponsored winners from Australia, Mexico and Canada are exempt from this rule. National Title Competition - A studio must register at least 1 group performance to be eligible to compete in the National Title Competition.Regional Title Competition - Once a dancer has won a 2022 Regional Title, he/she/they/them are no longer eligible to register and compete for the Title Competition at additional 2022 Regional events.Title Divisions - KAR proudly features a 5 & Under Mini division for Primary and Secondary soloists.Additional fees may apply for changes made to performances at competition and for add-in performances.Props - There are updated acceptable props that are allowed.If Redeemed After The 30 Day Deadline Only A Studio Credit Will Be Offered. All Payments Will Be Mailed Within 2-4 Weeks.

All Cash Prizes Must Be Redeemed In The Studio Center 30 Days From The Competition Date.

The overall scoring Super Line and Production performances will always receive cash awards regardless of the number of entries in each division.

Cash awards will only be presented in divisions with 3 or more eligible acts at Regionals and National Finals.

Intermediate age division 6 - 8 has been removed.

Judging Criteria for the Production division is emphasizing the storyline and overall entertainment value of Production performances.

Production (15 or more performers – may comprise of performers from all levels and ages including TEACHERS / ADULTS).

Super Line (15 or more performers – may comprise of performers from all levels and ages excluding TEACHERS / ADULTS).

TEACHER / ADULT are not considered a LEVEL, they are NOW considered a COMBINED CATEGORY and ineligible for overall high point awards or cash prizes.

Contemporary category now allows multiple acro/gymnastic tricks.

Acro/gymnastic tricks have been further defined in specific dance categories.

A PRIMARY dancer may only register a maximum of 7 total performances.

Level Promotion Program - Dancers can officially be promoted at the competition to a higher level with the recommendation of the Competition Director and the Judging panel.

Competition awards ceremonies will be scheduled to begin no later than 10:30PM!.
